One Sunday in the summer of 2014, I was walking through the concourse of my church. A little voice inside my head told me to write a book—a book that would help many people.
Like many procrastinators, I did not start that book immediately.
Later that same year, I was in bed and had just finished writing in my journal. That little voice again spoke when I was about to fall asleep.
“Surviving Salvation.”
I knew this was to be my ministry.
Why?
Because God spoke it.
To me.
Fast forward to today. It’s good that God knows how we can procrastinate. But He also knows the best time to start something big in His name.
On July 23, 2023, I was at the 5:00 PM service and was visibly moved during a sermon by a guest speaker (Jon Norman, pastor of Soul Church in Norwich, England). He had an altar call, and I rushed to the front.
With both hands stretched to heaven, I heard His message … and it was very clear.
GET OUT OF THE BOAT.
It was then I knew what I needed to do.
Working a full-time job (the boat) while starting a ministry does not work. Only one gets the most attention. And it’s not the ministry.
Something had to change. I had a command to keep. I had to “get out of the boat.” Besides, my spiritual boss is way bigger than anyone here on Earth.
My mission is to reach and help people via Social Media, books, digital downloads, and eventually through public speaking.
